Fallen Fate Online

Chapter 264 Heartbreak

Eger smirked, "Hah, I thought there was another powerful monster ahead of us, but it looks like we\'ve already reached the end. Who would have thought it would happen like this."

Zayne was more surprised than the rest, as he was the only one who was familiar with those who had summoned this Chaos Hearth.

He was hidden under a scarlet cloak, staring intently at the two people below. One was a girl with brown hair and blue eyes filled with hope and misery at the same time.

Next to her, there was a man in a red mantle, thick purple hair slicked back, and green sly eyes. It was this man who had once kidnapped Zayne and even tried to kill him.

\'Nydan and Ena... What the hell are they doing here... Moreover, when did they manage to become so strong?\' Zayne internally muttered while feeling their powerful auras.

Ena hadn\'t gone through the Awakened Process yet, but she was at the border of Terror Grade. Nydan had already reached the Arisen Grade, his aura was unstable but powerful, showing that he had done so not long ago.

Hearing Eger\'s voice, Nydan and Ena turned around as she got a great frown on her face.

"Well, well, you got here faster than we thought." Nydan smirked, he didn\'t seem worried at all, though he found himself in front of the Crusader.

"Hmm... How strange, I sense a mixed power in you... Have you chosen the path of the Chaos or are you following Fate?" Eger muttered thoughtfully, rubbing his chin.

Nydan shrugged, "I use what I can. Chaos or Fate, it doesn\'t matter to me, the most important thing is to have the resources to use my spells and move on."

Eger took a deep breath, "Agh... Yeah, I can feel it. Blood magic, isn\'t it? Well, now I see how you were able to summon the Chaos Hearth you needed... How many creatures did you kill to get that information?"

"Not very many. Only a few hundred bandits, knights, Chaos\'s followers, and various beasts." Nydan smirked, listing almost all of them, "I admit, the spell was difficult, but it was definitely worth it. However, I didn\'t expect anyone to have been watching us the whole time."

Eger smirked, raising his head arrogantly and giving Nydan a cold glare, "Yeah, we sensed your energy a long time ago, though you\'ve been hiding well."

Then, Eger waved his hand, "Let\'s go. We must capture them and find out what is going on here and what is in this crystal."

"Yes!" The knights responded vigorously.

However, before they could even take a step, the entire Chaos Hearth trembled slightly. Everyone was puzzled, and then the last passage opened.

From there, a group of several individuals emerged, not as many as knights, but enough to be considered a fighting unit.

In front, there was a man in light black armor and a long sword on his belt with a blade covered with many teeth. The weapon was like a saw, only it was designed to tear through the flesh of his opponent.

The man had short green hair and gray eyes, and his powerful aura was comparable to that of Eger.

Without exception, everyone immediately realized that it was Apostle because, in addition to his aura, he was also emitting powerful Chaos Energy.

Behind him were several individuals in crimson mantles, and even more in simple red robes. All of them were followers of the Chaos.

The man looked down, then his gaze traveled to Eger, and his eyes went slightly wide. He was surprised to see a Crusader here, but he quickly came to his senses.

Eger frowned, "Tsk. Looks like something serious is starting to happen. A dark mage, a Crusader, and an Apostle... I haven\'t seen a combination like that in a long time."

Luar, the Apostle, nodded slightly, "Hah, I agree. However, I didn\'t expect to see something so valuable in this Chaos Hearth."

Whoosh.

Without a moment\'s hesitation, Luar jumped off the platform, finding himself at the very bottom of the arena.

Eger frowned, waved his hand, and did the same.

A few seconds later, a multitude of Knights, Chaos followers, Crusader and Apostle were in the arena, staring intently at Nydan and Ena.

Only Zayne remained upstairs, who felt strange. He had faced powerful mages before, with Crusader and Apostle, but now they were all in the same place just like him.

"Stop! We don\'t want to fight!" Ena exclaimed with a wave of her hand.

Eger smirked, "Oh, looks like someone is worried. What\'s lurking behind that crystal? Let me get a good look at it."

Eger took a few steps forward and narrowed his eyes to see the object inside the crystal. To his surprise, it was a vial of white liquid, clear and spotless.

"Wait... Is this a complete purification potion...?" Eger muttered in a disbelief.

"Mr. Eger, what is it?" Fate Knight asked with a confused expression.

"It is one of the greatest treasures... Each such vial contains the purest energy of our world, it is absolutely impossible to create them, and they can only be found in random anomalies. Chaos Hearth is one such anomaly... However, this Chaos Hearth was summoned on purpose." Eger muttered in a serious tone.

Then, Eger\'s aura intensified as if he were ready for battle at any second. He quickly drew his sword that shone brightly and pointed it at Nydan, "What are you going to do with that vial?"

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

Luar released his energy, red and powerful like a flame that could burn everything around it.

Nydan stepped forward with a wave of his hand, "Hey, we don\'t have to fight." Nydan glanced at Ena, "Don\'t we?"

Ena nodded, "Look. We\'re willing to listen to your options because our fighting will only result in deaths."

Zayne stared at Ena, somehow he felt that she had already gone through most of the stages of what had happened to him.

\'Hmm... She\'s definitely like me Elein, she\'s activated the portal and no longer needs a capsule to cross over into Fallen Fate. I wonder if she still has status or is she no longer a Player but a Traveller like me? Zayne pondered with a complicated expression.

Eger smirked, "Hey if you agree to my terms, not only will I not arrest you, but I\'ll also help you deal with this Apostle."

Ena gave him a questioning look.

"Give me that vial and get on our side. In that case, I promise you won\'t have a problem." Eger smirked slyly.

"No. That\'s out of the question." Ena replied sharply, taking a few steps back.

"Agh... I have a proposition too." Luar sighed with his arms crossed on his chest, "I\'m willing to buy this vial from you. You can ask for as much money or artifacts as you want. Also, I\'m only willing to take half, it will be enough for my experiments."

Ena frowned, obviously she was contemplating whether or not she should have accepted Luar\'s offer.

Tap.

Ena approached the potion, and her pupils began to move as if she was reading something.

\'I see... So she only has one step left to fully integrate into this world.\' Zayne internally muttered with a slight nod.

Then, Ena shook her head, \'That\'s out of the question. I need the entire vial. It was all done just for this thing, without it, nothing else in this world will make sense to me."

There was silence for a while, then Eger stepped forward, "In that case there is no more point in talking. I, as a Crusader will destroy the Apostle as well as the dark mage and you, since you have summoned this Chaos Hearth. I have no pity for anyone who uses Chaos\'s power."

Nydan and Ena prepared for battle, they had no other option but to deal with Crusader and Fate Knight.

"Wait. I want to understand why you refused." Luar asked with a calm look, "If you had agreed then I would have helped you destroy Crusader and Fate Knight, however... Now we will fight to the death, all of us."

Ena frowned, "Besides the fact that the complete purification potion allows you to become much stronger because of the large amount of pure energy, it also has another property. You probably know about it, since you can cure any disease with this vial."

Eger smirked evilly, "Well, well, it looks like someone has good intentions, but I don\'t care about that. You will all die here in the name of Fate as criminals spreading Chaos."

Crackle.

Luar drew his sword and prepared to fight, then he looked intently at Ena, wanting to know her answer, "This won\'t change anything, and you\'ll probably die like all of you by my sword, but who do you want to save?"

Ena\'s face darkened as she drew her long sword, and tears sprang from her eyes, "The person most dear to me who is sick with an incurable disease... I want to save my brother and for that, I am willing to do anything!"

Eger and Luar shrugged, preparing for battle, but at the next step, a chill went down their backs from the powerful aura behind them.

Everyone turned around sharply and saw a void, but there was a powerful aura coming from one of the passageways as if someone was actually standing there.
